THE
CITY HAS TO KNOW
The "balsamic days" are currently in progress
in the city and province, a series of events from 17 to 25 November
aimed at promoting the "blackest" of our region's specialities,
Traditional Reggiano Balsamic Vinegar. The Association of producers
of Traditional Reggiano Balsamic Vinegar, the leader of the event,
the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar Confraternity, the Province,
the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the Chamber of Commerce and
the Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Association are all involved and
have supported the initiative, according to their means. The days,
which will draw journalists from all over the world to visit "acetaie"
(where the vinegar is made and stored) to evaluate various types
of vinegar with guided tastings, in order to have a better idea
of how our great product is produced and matured, culminates in
the award of the journalistic prize and with a gala evening in
which leading cooks will create dishes using Traditional Balsamic
Vinegar. This edition of the Botticello d'Argento, the official
organ of the Traditional Reggiano Balsamic Vinegar Confraternity,
exceptionally available for free at newsagents, aims at contributing
to the promotion of the event so that the whole city can take
part.
